Subjects Taught
Grade 2, Grade 3, Kindergarten

I graduated from Washburn High School in 2006.  I then attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison to study Elementary Education.  I have a degree in Early Childhood to Middle Childhood Elementary Education with a minor in English Language Arts.  I also received my a Master's of Science for Professional Educators Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the spring of 2017.

I am in my seventh year of teaching at Washburn Elementary.  I have taught both second and third grade in Washburn and am in my fifth year of teaching kindergarten.  Before coming to Washurn, I completed several semesters of practicum as well as a semester of student teaching in the Madison Metropolitan School District where I had the opportunity to work with a variety of age groups and in a variety of educational settings.

I grew up in Washburn, Wisconsin before attending college at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  I am passionate about connecting the classroom to the community, implementing outdoor education, and integrating multi-cultural education and experiences into every day activities.  I believe that school should be student-centered and that all students should be honored, included, and supported in acheiving their individual social and academic goals.  I also believe that pulic education should prepare students to work for change to better our world.
